Man, I have my fingers crossed. So much for them to figure out...I just cant imagine how they will do it all. But, the devs seem optimistic, so Im waiting and hoping.....
Let me know if you have issues installing the emu client....it went very smoothly for me following the directions that I reposted here from the EMU site.

Re: EMU anyone?
Hey Ios - So Im actually unsure of that. I *think* that some have it working
on Win 7......Ill surf around the EMU forums and see if I can find a definitive answer.....
* * * Edit * * * OK, so looks like its Win 7 should be fine. Here is a link to a post if you have problems....
Really though I think if you follow the main installion directions in the "idiots guide" you will good.

Re: EMU anyone?
SO for those of you following this....some (sad) strange developments on the EMU. If you've surfed those forums for any length of time you know that there are 2 main guys that do developement: Morpheus and Rajkosto. I wont go into the long history of who was doing what - but it appears that Raj made the big breakthroughs in encryption breaking and packet understanding. Then he kinda stopped doing anything and Morph picked up the code. However, he doesnt code well in c++ ( I think that was the main mxo code) so ported over to Python for the server software. His multi server test didnt work well. Raj has one going right now with HIS emu server software, its working fine.
Well, there has always been alot of friction between the 2 of them (Raj is....blunt...in his criticism. Mean sometimes even). Anyhow, the devs have split, and NOW Morph is going restart his python server coding, and Raj will continue with his. I suspect that Raj's would be a better solution, but he seems to treat the EMU as a hobby, not a burning desire. Morph has stated, he loves this game and will never stop until he has a working EMU. SO who knows...
Not sure where this will end up. Im going to follow both, Ill keep everyone here posted. Im going to go into Raj's test server tonight. Morph has stated that he needs to do alot of re-writing so Im assuming that it will be a while before there is anything to test there.
This sucks, and is why we need a company running this. But oh well.

Re: EMU anyone?
I did notice that Raj, from my brief visits to the forum, was a cunt. Whereas Morpheus was not.
Sad news, but interesting to see where this will go.

Yeah, I can't figure Raj out, very sarcastic and mean at times. I will say, I think he is quite brilliant though, and no one would be anywhere without his initial understanding of what the game does with client and server.
Still, the standalone client remains good to download and fool with. Also, I will try to get into Raj's server test this weekend. They have been running for a couple of days with multiple people online, so who knows?

It would appear that drama follows MxO wherever it goes.

I sure hope so, as thats all I have at the moment. If you have a decent laptop, it should be no problem. Mine runs a dual core processor with 3 gigs of ram, but a crappy on board intel graphic card. **sighs** It supposedly is a direct x 10 card, so Im hoping it will be ok.
I will definetely get this installed on Tuesday or Wednesday, as I ll have all kinds of free time.
**snorts**

Hmm ok, well thats not *quite* enough info for me to help.
GO here: http://mxoemu.info/forum/thread-278.html
read through the directions again. One of the steps end with you clicking a "create" button, and another with you clicking a "go" button. Did you remember to do that?
Its a very step by step thing.......I had an instruction window open at the same time I was doing the steps.
Good luck - let me know if that was helpful at all?

I copied and pasted it directly into the web browser, and I did use IE and not Firefox as mentioned. This part of the thread http://mxoemu.info/forum/thread-278-...3.html#pid5003 may be useful?
If all else fails....start the steps from scratch? Not to be insulting, but be sure that you hit the "create" button when you are making the reality Db

Drop an "eve mail" to G.LightShiner if/when you decide to join up.
